The Challenge

A technology consulting company was providing maintenance and operational support for a diverse set of customers, but keeping track of all the necessary information created problems. Each customer had different software, infrastructure, and operational systems.

With a continuous schedule of maintenance required for their customers, tracking and managing this complexity became burdensome and inefficient.

Information about customers’ systems, setup, and environment was maintained in an ad hoc manual way.

Our Approach

Oxalis held and conducted stakeholder interviews to solicit needs and understand their pain points.

We then analyzed their existing processes and concluded that Jira Service Management and Atlassian Asset Management (formerly insight asset management) was the solution.

We designed and created an insight Asset Management schema that allowed easy organization and visibility into their client’s assets and infrastructure. Another vital component was adding intuitive automation and reports which helped to track expiration dates, maintenance schedules, and overall success.

The Outcome

The company’s employees saw an average time savings of 35% per week searching for data. Their effort and time spent investigating security alerts were virtually erased. Because of their automated, no maintenance windows, they have witnessed no unforced errors to undetected expiration. The company eliminated human error in scheduling and planning preventative upkeep.
