Oxalis Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification

Strengthening Our Commitment to Defense and Regulated Industries

Oxalis is proud to announce we have achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2, a critical milestone that validates our ability to securely handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and positions us to deepen our support for the defense industrial base, MRO providers, and maritime operators.

This certification reinforces what our clients already know: Oxalis is built for highly regulated environments. It demonstrates our commitment to delivering technology solutions that meet the highest security standards while enabling the digital transformation our defense industrial base partners need to remain competitive and mission-ready.

“For nearly a decade, Oxalis has been committed to serving organizations where security and compliance aren’t optional—they’re mission-critical. Achieving CMMC Level 2 certification validates our security-first culture and opens new opportunities to support the defense industrial base. This isn’t just about expanding our market; it’s about proving we can be trusted with the sensitive information that keeps our nation secure.”

Jonathan Malanche, CEO

Oxalis

What is CMMC and Why Does it Matter

The Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is the DoD’s unified standard for implementing cybersecurity across the defense industrial base (DIB). Created to protect Federal Contract Information (FCI) and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), CMMC ensures that all contractors and subcontractors handling DoD information maintain robust cybersecurity practices.

CMMC Level 2 represents an advanced security posture required for organizations that create, process, store, or transmit CUI. It encompasses 110 security controls aligned with NIST SP 800-171 Rev. 2, covering critical areas including:

  • Access control and authentication
  • Incident response and recovery
  • System and communications protection
  • Risk assessment and continuous monitoring
  • Configuration management and media protection

Achieving CMMC Level 2 certification requires a rigorous third-party assessment by a Certified Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO).

Understanding Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI)

Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) is unclassified information that the U.S. government creates, possesses, or that an entity creates or possesses on behalf of the government, which requires safeguarding and dissemination controls.

CUI is not classified information, but it still demands protection. It includes technical drawings, engineering specifications, operational reports, procurement data, and other sensitive materials shared between the DoD and its contractors. The DoD CUI Program standardizes how this information is marked, handled, and protected across the defense ecosystem.

Achieving CMMC Level 2 compliance allows Oxalis to work directly with sensitive defense information, support system modernization efforts, and provide the deep technical integration our clients need, without compromising security or compliance.

What This Means for Oxalis Clients

CMMC Level 2 certification expands Oxalis’ ability to serve the DIB in several critical ways:

  • Eligibility for DoD Contracts. Starting in late 2025, most DoD contracts involving CUI require full Level 2 certification from a third-party assessment. Oxalis’ certification ensures we can continue bidding on and supporting contracts that involve sensitive defense information.
  • Deeper Integration with Mission-Critical Systems. Our certification enables us to work within or adjacent to DoD environments, supporting everything from ERP implementations and cloud migrations to IT modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Supply Chain Security. By achieving CMMC Level 2, Oxalis strengthens the overall security posture of the defense supply chain. Our clients can trust that their sensitive information is protected when working with us, reducing risk across their own compliance posture.

Reinforcing our Goal in Providing Solutions Built for Highly-Regulated Environments

CMMC Level 2 certification is a natural extension of Oxalis’ core mission: helping government, defense, healthcare, and other highly regulated organizations modernize their operations without compromising security, speed, or compliance.

From our partnerships with Atlassian (including FedRAMP and Atlassian Government Cloud) and IFS, to our proprietary solutions like YardOS, we design every engagement and product with the unique demands of regulated sectors in mind. Our team understands that in defense and government work, there’s no room for error; every system must be secure, auditable, and future-ready.

“The defense industrial base faces evolving cyber threats every day. CMMC Level 2 isn’t a one-time achievement – it’s a commitment to continuous security improvement. Our team has embedded these controls into our DNA, from product development to client engagements. This certification gives our DIB partners confidence that when they work with Oxalis, they’re working with a team that takes security as seriously as they do.”

Micah J. Waldstein, VP

Oxalis

At Oxalis, we’ve spent years building deep expertise in highly regulated industries. We’ve supported various defense agencies, partnered with IFS to modernize naval MRO operations, and helped organizations across the defense industrial base navigate complex digital transformations. In every one of those engagements, trust is the foundation.

CMMC Level 2 certification formalizes that trust at the system level.

For our existing clients, it means they can bring Oxalis deeper into sensitive environments, knowing we have the certified security posture to operate there responsibly. For prospective clients evaluating technology partners for DoD work, it removes a critical barrier — Oxalis is now verified as a compliant organization capable of handling CUI within the defense supply chain.

The Executive Guide to IFS Connect 2025: AI, Agility, and Growth

At IFS Connect 2025, one message came through loud and clear: Industrial AI is no longer optional. It’s foundational.

Across a series of global events, IFS laid out its boldest vision yet for the future of enterprise software—one shaped by composable architecture, deeply embedded intelligence, and a growing partner ecosystem designed to accelerate time to value. If you’re leading operations in a complex, asset- or service-intensive environment, the implications are clear: it’s time to stop asking “if” AI belongs in your business processes and start asking “where” and “how fast.”

Here’s what stood out at IFS Connect 2025—and what it means for your organization.

1. AI Is Embedded, Not Bolted On

IFS Connect 2025 envisions a future where IFS Cloud 25R1 introduced more than 200 AI-driven enhancements—many of which deliver immediate, practical value. From inventory forecasting to emissions tracking and 3D maintenance visualization, IFS isn’t treating AI as a buzzword or side project. It’s building intelligence directly into your workflows.

Why it matters:
Executives no longer need to wonder if AI will disrupt their industries—it already is. IFS is providing a platform where AI helps your teams do what they already do, only faster, smarter, and with greater precision. If you’re navigating thin margins, tightening SLAs, or managing critical infrastructure, these are not theoretical advantages—they’re operational necessities.

2. Speed and Strategy: A New Migration Path

IFS’s new Migration Accelerator for SAP customers represents more than just a technical service. It’s a strategic on-ramp for companies ready to move off legacy systems and into a more agile, AI-powered future.

Why it matters:
Executives know the cost of inertia. With ECC end-of-support deadlines looming, IFS is offering a credible, lower-risk path forward—one that comes with a promise of faster ROI and smarter architecture. If you’re exploring alternatives to monolithic platforms, this may be the most opportune moment to take action.

3. Nexus Black: Co-Innovation as a Competitive Advantage

One of the most compelling announcements was the launch of IFS Nexus Black—a program that partners directly with customers to co-develop AI solutions tailored to their most complex challenges.

Why it matters:
Innovation doesn’t always come from off-the-shelf solutions. Nexus Black gives forward-thinking leaders a fast track to prototype and scale AI-powered capabilities that give them a real competitive edge. If your organization is aiming to lead rather than follow, this model of co-creation offers a new blueprint.

4. A Trusted Partner Makes All the Difference

Technology alone isn’t the answer—success comes from how you implement, integrate, and adapt it to your organization’s unique needs. That’s why choosing the right partner is critical. At IFS Connect 2025, it was clear: organizations that see the greatest value from IFS Cloud aren’t going it alone—they’re collaborating with experienced partners who understand their industries, compliance demands, and operational realities.

Why it matters: Oxalis brings together deep industry expertise, agile implementation methods, and a commitment to long-term success. Whether you’re modernizing from legacy systems or expanding into new capabilities like Industrial AI, we help you translate IFS’s innovation into measurable outcomes. The right partner doesn’t just implement software—they unlock its potential.

5. The Real ROI of IFS.ai

IFS customers are already seeing returns. According to IDC, businesses using IFS Cloud achieved an average ROI of 414% over three years with an 11-month payback period. These gains come not just from automation, but from smarter decisions, better visibility, and reduced risk.

Why it matters:
Investments in enterprise platforms often come under scrutiny—but IFS is backing its claims with real-world results. Whether you’re seeking greater operational resilience, reducing downtime, or scaling services across global teams, IFS.ai is showing that value doesn’t have to wait years to materialize.

“IFS Cloud enhances our production planning process, enabling more accurate planning and better raw material purchasing.
These improvements significantly improve our business and accelerate the return on our investment.”

Final Thought: From Vision to Execution

IFS is making good on the promise of AI not by introducing generic tools, but by focusing on the industries and functions that need it most. It’s a platform for builders—for companies that need precision, resilience, and speed to adapt.

Whether you’re optimizing field service, managing critical assets, or modernizing enterprise operations, IFS’s approach to embedded intelligence and modular growth deserves serious consideration.

Why Oxalis: Your IFS Partner for What’s Next

At Oxalis, we help organizations in highly regulated, asset-intensive industries navigate complexity and deliver transformation with confidence. As an IFS silver implementation partner, we bring deep domain expertise, agile delivery practices, and a commitment to operational excellence.

Oxalis Earns Atlassian’s New Software Development Specialization—First in the Americas

At Oxalis, we believe that software should empower teams—not slow them down. That’s why we’re thrilled to announce our latest achievement: Oxalis is the first Atlassian partner in the Americas to earn Atlassian’s brand-new Software Development Specialization.

This distinction isn’t just a badge. It’s a powerful recognition of the deep expertise our team brings to software development organizations navigating complexity, compliance, and scale. We’ve long supported developers in highly regulated industries, and this specialization affirms what our customers already know: Oxalis knows software development—and we know how to make Atlassian tools work harder for your teams.

What Is the Atlassian Software Development Specialization?

Announced in April 2025, the Software Development Specialization is Atlassian’s newest program to recognize partners with proven excellence in supporting modern software development. It’s designed to validate partners who consistently deliver value across developer experience, agility, and collaboration—especially in cloud-firstITSM-integrated, and compliance-driven environments.

To qualify, partners must meet rigorous requirements, including:

  • 5 Sales Accreditations in Software Development
  • 5 Technical Delivery Accreditations
  • 4 Qualified Service Engagements using Jira Product Discovery, Bitbucket, or Compass, each with 50+ users

Achieving this level of recognition isn’t easy—and that’s the point. It means customers can be confident they’re working with a partner who’s not only experienced, but deeply capable.

What It Means for You

  • A partner who can translate complexity into clarity

That’s where we come in. With this specialization, we’re even better positioned to help software teams:

  • Build smarter with early discovery and prioritization tools
  • Collaborate more effectively with cloud-native version control
  • Scale sustainably with component-based architectures and DevOps visibility
  • Align development with broader business strategy through our cross-specialization expertise

Why Oxalis?

We’re not just Atlassian experts. We’re engineers, architects, and problem-solvers who thrive in the world of complex systems and mission-critical software. Our track record includes modernizing workflows for global nonprofits, transforming IT for federal and state agencies, and enabling software agility in security-conscious environments.

  • Ensure compliance and security, meeting the demands of DoD and industry standards

This is about building the systems that support national security, industrial competitiveness, and global defense readiness.

Preparing for What’s Next

At Oxalis, we take pride in helping clients stay ahead of change—not just respond to it. We’re skating to where the puck is going, aligning our capabilities with the strategic direction of the defense industrial base.

This partnership reflects that forward momentum. It’s about positioning businesses to lead, not follow, in a rapidly evolving landscape where operational excellence, digital fluency, and mission alignment are more critical than ever.

Let’s Shape the Future Together

From Silos to Systems: Inside the Big Announcements from Atlassian Team ’25

Discover how Atlassian is connecting teams, amplifying productivity, and bringing AI to the center of modern work.

Atlassian’s Team ’25 event in Anaheim set the tone for where modern work is headed—and the future is collaborative, connected, and powered by AI.

With a clear focus on helping organizations break down silos, amplify team productivity, and streamline strategic execution, Atlassian introduced a sweeping set of updates across its platform. From powerful AI capabilities and new product bundles to enhancements in cloud flexibility and customer service, this year’s announcements speak directly to the evolving needs of enterprises across industries.

Here’s a detailed look at what was announced—and what it means for your team.

Rovo: AI That Works Alongside Your Team

The biggest story from Team ’25 was the formal rollout of Atlassian Intelligence, now called Rovo—a smart AI teammate embedded directly into Jira, Confluence, and beyond.

Rovo is designed to help teams find information faster, automate manual work, and make more informed decisions using the context of your organization’s actual data. It includes:

  • Rovo Search & Chat: A conversational AI that can understand natural language and retrieve relevant information across Atlassian tools and over 50 third-party platforms (like Google Drive, Slack, Notion, and more). Think of it as a personal research assistant that always knows where your work lives—and how to get to it.
  • AI Agents: Prebuilt and customizable agents that can tackle specific tasks, such as:
    • Code Reviewer Agent for analyzing Bitbucket pull requests against requirements written in Jira.
    • Root Cause Analysis Agent that identifies the source of incidents using data from across your DevOps stack.
    • Workflow Builder Agent that creates complex Jira workflows from a simple prompt.
  • Rovo Studio: A low-code/no-code environment for creating your own AI agents, automations, dashboards, and custom data objects—essentially allowing you to build tailored AI workflows specific to your team’s unique needs.

And perhaps most impressively, Rovo is now included at no extra cost for customers on Premium and Enterprise Cloud plans, with Standard plan access to follow soon. That means world-class AI support—without a hefty price tag.

Teamwork Collection: Your Collaboration Hub, Reimagined

To further unify work across functions, Atlassian introduced the Teamwork Collection—a bundle of core Atlassian tools built to support seamless cross-functional collaboration:

  • Jira for managing tasks, projects, and initiatives.
  • Confluence for capturing knowledge and collaborative documentation.
  • Loom for async video communication and quick context-sharing.
  • Rovo AI Agents to tie it all together and reduce manual coordination.

The Teamwork Collection isn’t just a software bundle—it’s an intentional, integrated experience. With shared navigation, deep integrations, and AI features that cut across tools, teams can collaborate more effectively, whether they’re in marketing, engineering, operations, or support.

Need to spin up a new team? The collection makes it simple to create a dedicated Jira project, a Confluence space, a Loom channel, and Slack integration—all in one click. And with Rovo helping connect dots behind the scenes, silos start to disappear.

Strategy Collection: From Vision to Execution

While the Teamwork Collection empowers collaboration at the team level, the Strategy Collection is built for executive leadership and enterprise portfolio planning.

This new solution brings together:

  • Focus: A strategic planning hub where executives define goals, set OKRs, and track progress in real-time. Work from Jira or Jira Align rolls up automatically, creating a live view of how strategy translates into action.
  • Talent (Early Access): A new workforce planning tool that allows leaders to model roles, skills, and team capacity across initiatives. Talent helps identify resourcing gaps early—so you’re never understaffed on your most important priorities.
  • Jira Align: A powerful enterprise agile planning tool that connects strategy to delivery across large, complex teams. It ensures alignment from top-level initiatives down to sprint-level tasks.

Together, these tools offer something many leadership teams struggle to achieve: clear visibility into goals, work, people, and progress—all in one place.

Customer Service Management: AI-Powered Support That’s Actually Connected

Customer-facing support teams often sit far from the product and engineering teams they rely on to resolve issues. Atlassian’s new Customer Service Management (CSM) app, now in beta, is built to close that gap.

The CSM app:

  • Connects support tickets to the broader Atlassian platform—pulling in relevant Jira issues, Confluence articles, incidents, change logs, and more.
  • Features an AI support agent that can resolve common issues, summarize requests, and even suggest draft replies for support reps.
  • Provides a unified view of context: related deployments, known issues, and affected services are surfaced automatically.

By integrating support into the same system as development and IT, teams resolve issues faster, reduce handoff delays, and keep customers informed every step of the way.

New Cloud Deployment Options: Flexibility for Regulated Teams

One of the most important announcements for regulated industries came in the form of two new deployment options:

  • Atlassian Government Cloud: Now in Early Access, this U.S.-based environment is FedRAMP Moderate authorized, allowing federal agencies and contractors to use Atlassian Cloud products in a compliant and secure way. Support for FedRAMP High and DoD IL5 is on the roadmap.
  • Atlassian Isolated Cloud: Launching in 2026, this will offer a single-tenant, Atlassian-managed cloud environment for customers with the highest levels of security and data separation requirements—such as finance, defense, and healthcare organizations.

These offerings provide the flexibility enterprises need to move confidently to the cloud—without compromising on control, security, or compliance.

Enhanced User Experience Across the Platform

Alongside the major launches, Atlassian also introduced thoughtful enhancements that improve the day-to-day experience of every user:

  • Refreshed Navigation & Design: A consistent, modern UI across Jira, Confluence, and more makes it easier to navigate, collaborate, and focus—especially for users working across multiple Atlassian tools.
  • Trello Updates: Trello is getting smarter and more streamlined for personal productivity. New features make it easier to capture tasks on the go (via Slack, email, mobile), manage workloads, and automate recurring steps—transforming Trello into a true daily work dashboard.
  • Expanded Integrations: Atlassian deepened its integrations with Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Workspace, and others, helping users work where they’re most comfortable while keeping all data connected and accessible.
  • Custom Domains: Available for Jira and Confluence Cloud, this long-awaited feature lets organizations host their Atlassian instances at their own branded domain—for example, jira.mycompany.com—enhancing both security and user trust.

What does this mean for Oxalis customers and our broader community?

Atlassian’s vision is becoming increasingly clear: one connected platform for all teams—augmented by AI, tailored for enterprise, and flexible enough to meet the needs of the most complex organizations.

  • AI isn’t a future concept—it’s here today, embedded where your teams work, and designed to eliminate the friction of searching, documenting, coding, and responding.
  • Collaboration is simpler and more seamless—whether you’re a DevOps engineer, a product owner, or a program manager leading multi-team initiatives.
  • Strategic planning is no longer locked in slide decks—it’s dynamic, actionable, and connected to real-time execution data.
  • Support and service teams are empowered, not siloed—thanks to a smarter, more connected approach to resolving customer issues.
  • You don’t need to choose between compliance and innovation—you can have both, with deployment options that meet your regulatory needs without holding back your teams.

At Oxalis, we’re excited about what these updates unlock for our customers across government, healthcare, maritime, and beyond. If you’re curious about how to put these new tools to work—or need a partner to help chart your path—we’re always here to help.
