Sr. Solutions Consultant - Program & Portfolio Management

FULL-TIME HYBRID ST. LOUIS PROGRAM & PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

You're a trusted advisor who turns complex business and technical challenges into clear, durable solutions — shaping roadmaps, leading programs and portfolios, and driving measurable outcomes for customers. At Oxalis, that's exactly who we need.

Location & Work Mode

  • Hybrid — St. Louis-based.
  • Travel: Occasional, for client and company engagements. Up to 75% in St. Louis for some client engagements.
  • Reports to: Principal Consultant / Sr. Principal Consultant / Sr. Director of Delivery

About the Role

As a Sr. Solutions Consultant at Oxalis, you help organizations solve mission-critical problems by turning complex business and technical challenges into clear, durable solutions. You operate as a trusted advisor across the engagement — listening with empathy, shaping strategy, leading design, and driving delivery — so customers achieve measurable outcomes that bring real and tangible value to their organizations.

You work with stakeholders from executives to delivery teams to end users, and you own the work end-to-end: discovery, architecture, configuration, rollout, adoption, and post-go-live support. Your strength is connecting what customers say they need, what they actually need, and what Oxalis can deliver — then making it real.

Oxalis runs on its core values: Leadership, Empathy, Growth, Quality, and Curiosity. We work from intent rather than instruction — senior leaders set the outcomes and the boundaries, and you step into the work that needs doing. You'll move fluidly between Engagement Lead, Pursuit Lead, Solution Lead, and Relationship Lead responsibilities, and contribute to the growth of the firm in partnership with Client Partners, Sales, and Delivery leaders.

What You'll Do

  • Customer Outcomes — lead engagements end-to-end, from discovery and requirements through configuration, deployment, adoption, and post-go-live support; surface the real problem behind the stated one and design tailored solutions that align with customer goals.
  • Clear Communication — translate complex technical and operational concepts into clear recommendations for executive, technical, and end-user audiences, and produce high-quality deliverables, presentations, runbooks, and training materials that reflect Oxalis's standards.
  • Program & Portfolio Management — build and maintain enterprise roadmaps that align work to clear business value, and lead project, program, and portfolio management across cross-functional workstreams, communicating impacts and dependencies before they become blockers.
  • Capacity & Scenario Planning — forecast and track team capacity across projects, and use scenario planning to frame decisions about delays and reprioritization with clear options and a recommendation.
  • PMO, Governance & Change — design, implement, and mature PMOs, governance, and Agile/Scrum ways of working, paired with the organizational change management that makes them stick.
  • Delivery Leadership — own delivery performance against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and margin; lead workshops, design sessions, and executive readouts; coordinate across customer teams, fellow Oxalis consultants, and third-party providers; and navigate complex stakeholder environments with candor and empathy.
  • Pursuit & Practice Growth — partner with Customer Growth and Sales during pre-sales (discovery calls, solution shaping, estimates, and proposals), and contribute to $150,000+ in annual sales attribution by expanding the value Oxalis delivers to existing customers and helping win new opportunities.
  • Internal Contributions & Growth — improve Oxalis's tools, templates, and methodologies; mentor consultants; contribute to communities of practice; and stay curious about the technologies, frameworks, and industries our customers operate in.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of customer-facing experience in consulting, solution architecture, business analysis, or a similar role.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business challenges and deliver strategic, high-impact solutions.
  • Several years leading programs or portfolios across cross-functional teams, including enterprise roadmapping, capacity forecasting, and dependency management.
  • Hands-on experience implementing or maturing a PMO and leading Agile/Scrum transformation in an enterprise setting.
  • Grounding in business systems analysis, process design, and governance, with practical experience applying organizational change management.
  • Strong project and time management skills; ability to balance multiple engagements without dropping quality.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with a track record of engaging executive and technical stakeholders.
  • A bias for ownership and a customer-focused mindset with a focus on measurable outcomes.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for company and client engagements (up to 75% in St. Louis for some client engagements).
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.

  • Working knowledge of data analysis, automation, and business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with enterprise software implementation, integration, and migration projects.
  • Industry expertise in one or more of Oxalis's target markets: maritime, public sector, aerospace and defense, manufacturing, healthcare, or other regulated enterprise environments.
