Are you a seasoned Atlassian engineer who thrives on turning complex enterprise challenges into elegant, scalable solutions that win deals and drive transformation? If so, read on!
Location & Work Mode
Hybrid — based in or near one of our hub cities (Portland, Seattle, Austin, Bay Area, SoCal, Chicago, St. Louis, New York, or NCR/D.C. metro), with periodic visits to that hub.
What You’ll Own
Opportunity strategy — partnering with Account Executives to qualify opportunities, understand customer challenges, and shape solution strategies aligned to business outcomes
Discovery & design — leading discovery sessions on workflows, operating models, and tooling, and translating customer needs into scalable solution architectures spanning Agile delivery, ITSM, and enterprise work management
Demos & solution narratives — designing and delivering tailored demonstrations across Atlassian platforms (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management, and more)
Technical validation — providing guidance throughout the sales cycle to ensure proposed solutions are feasible, scalable, and aligned to best practices
Delivery handoff — collaborating closely with delivery teams to ensure continuity from presales into implementation
Proposals — contributing to RFP/RFI responses with clear, structured solution approaches and supporting technical detail
Staying current — keeping up with Atlassian capabilities, the Marketplace ecosystem, and evolving trends in work management and service delivery
What We’re Looking For
3–5+ years of experience in presales, solutions engineering, or consulting within SaaS or enterprise software
Strong experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence, Jira Service Management) and their application across IT, software, and business teams
Working knowledge of Agile, ITSM, and/or DevOps practices and how they translate into tooling and workflows
Experience designing and presenting solutions that connect technical capabilities to measurable business outcomes
Strong communication and presentation skills, able to engage both technical stakeholders and executive audiences
Ability to structure ambiguous problems into clear solution approaches
Comfort managing multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have: experience in a consulting or professional services environment across multiple customers or industries; hands-on Atlassian Cloud or Data Center configuration/administration; familiarity with enterprise work management, PPM, or service operations transformation; understanding of integration patterns, APIs, and the Atlassian Marketplace; exposure to adjacent domains like ITSM, Agile at scale, DevOps toolchains, or knowledge management; experience with public sector, defense, manufacturing, aerospace, energy, or healthcare clients; and certifications such as ACP, ITIL Foundation, CSM/SAFe/PMI-ACP, or a cloud certification (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Why This Role Matters
You’ll shape deals at the intersection of strategy and execution, not just support them from the sidelines
Direct exposure to Atlassian’s platform ecosystem alongside real operating-model transformation work
A role built to have visible impact on revenue by helping lead technical pursuits to close
