Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced HR and Recruiting Specialist to join our technology consulting company. The HR and Recruiting Specialist will be responsible for managing the recruitment process for various roles, assisting with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, and staying up to date with current HR and recruiting trends and best practices. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in HR and recruiting, with a proven track record of success in talent acquisition.
Location: Hybrid position; Portland, OR/surrounding areas or Petaluma, CA/surrounding areas
Recruiting Responsibilities:
- Work with senior leadership to determine staffing needs and create job descriptions for various roles
- Manage the recruitment process from start to finish, including posting vacancies, reviewing resumes, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks
- Build a pipeline of potential candidates and maintain relationships with potential candidates
- Utilize various recruitment tools to identify, attract and hire top talent
HR Responsibilities
- Conduct new employee orientations to introduce new hires to the company’s policies, procedures, and culture
- Collaborate with performance managers to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new hires
- Develop and implement employee retention programs to reduce turnover and increase employee satisfaction
- Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with all HR-related documentation
- Handle employee relations issues such as conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary action
- Manage employee payment and benefits programs and communicate with employees about benefit options and changes
- Conduct annual performance reviews and assist with the development of performance improvement plans
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field
- 4 years of experience in HR and Recruiting, specifically recruiting for Technical Consultancies or System Integrators
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HR laws and regulations
- Familiarity with HR software and tools
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
